Community Justice Services SA Ltd

Community Justice Services SA Ltd is a community legal centre with office locations in southern Adelaide, Limestone Coast and Riverland areas. The centre provides free legal advice, information and referral and ongoing assistance and court representation, where appropriate, at no cost to eligible clients who cannot afford to pay a private solicitor and do not qualify for a grant of legal aid.

The service also provides community legal education sessions to the community.

Additional programs include the following:

  • The Bushfire Community Legal Program is a South Australian state-wide free legal service which delivers regular face to face outreaches (and via telephone or email) to a number of bushfire high risk or impacted areas. This service provides legal advice, information, referrals and community legal education to support individuals, small business and communities with their bushfire preparedness and response.
  • The Family Law Advocacy and Guidance Service is a specialist program that delivers free legal advice and representation to those who need support with their family law matter. This program also has a family advocate to help support clients in managing the complexity of being in the family court.
  • A free Mental Health Support Program. The mental health worker provides support to clients who are accessing our legal services programs.


9am-5pm Monday to Friday

Solicitors determine if a client is eligible mainly based on income and asset criteria and merit.


Clients or their support workers can contact the service to make an appointment.
