The Harmony Program
Substance Misuse Services
The Port Augusta Harmony programs are 5 distinctive separate programs provided by council on behalf of the state and federal government, providing a strictly confidential 24-hour service designed to meet the needs of people suffering from the effects of drug and alcohol use.
Council provide support for people affected by the use of drugs and alcohol through services such as:
- needle exchange program;
- mobile assistance;
- sobering up facilities;
- external rehabilitation programs (counselling and referrals etc);
- support for people suffering from physical and cognitive effects of long-term usage (shopping, home care, NDIS support etc).
Council has drug and alcohol care workers who are trained in the areas of drug and alcohol use and referral skills.
If you are worried about yourself or someone else who uses alcohol and other drugs you may contact our staff for services, advice referral and information.
We can arrange counselling, medical support, detoxification, withdrawal, and rehabilitation program referrals as well as one to one exceptional needs and NDIS support.
The Harmony programs are an integral part of Port Augusta’s community managed care.
